Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College

Atlanta Metropolitan State College

Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC), an access institution of the University System of Georgia, educates students from diverse backgrounds by providing affordable, career-focused bachelor’s and associate degree programs. The College offers student-centered instruction, civic/community engagement, and quality services that lead to the success of its inter-generational 21st century graduates.


Augusta University

Renamed by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia in September 2015, Augusta University is the home of the Medical College of Georgia. It is one of only four public comprehensive research institutions in the state of Georgia.


Bainbridge State College

Bainbridge State College's mission is three-fold: to provide transfer degrees, technical programs, and public service/continuing education courses. The College assists in area economic and community development programs and has established collaborative relationships with local businesses, industries, and cultural/civic groups. The College also supports local public education by sponsoring various academic and technical competitions and by offering on-going cultural programs, including lectures, musical programs, art exhibits, and theatrical performances for students and community.


Clayton State University

College of Coastal Georgia

As a state college of the University System of Georgia, the College of Coastal Georgia—a four-year institution—has as its mission to provide targeted baccalaureate programs of study, pre-baccalaureate programs of study for transfer, preparation for immediate employment in a variety of technical program areas, assistance to students who are academically under-prepared for college-level study, and lifelong learning opportunities for workforce development, career enhancement, and personal enrichment.


Columbus State University

Columbus State University—a four-year institution—serves the educational needs of a diverse region by providing a mixture of liberal arts and professional programs leading to associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees. The University also serves transfer and transient students as well as those seeking certification and licensure. The University maintains a strong core of general education as the foundation of all its academic programs. East Georgia State College

Fort Valley State University

Georgia College and State University

Georgia Gwinnett College

Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC)—a four-year institution—provides access to targeted baccalaureate level degrees that meet the economic development needs of the growing and diverse population of the northeast Atlanta metropolitan region. It emphasizes the innovative use of technology and active-learning environments to provide enhanced learning experiences, practical opportunities to apply knowledge, increased scheduling flexibility, and a variety of course delivery options.


Georgia Highlands College

Georgia Highlands College (GHC), a four-year institution, was founded in 1970 to provide educational opportunities for the physical, intellectual, and cultural development of a diverse population in seven northwest Georgia counties. With the advent of distance learning technologies, specialty programs, off-campus centers and collaborative arrangements, the college has expanded its scope of influence beyond the institution's original geographical area. It now provides six instructional sites in Rome, Cartersville, Marietta, Dallas and Douglasville.


Georgia Institute of Technology

University System of Georgia

The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia was created in 1931 as a part of a reorganization of Georgia's state government. With this act, public higher education in Georgia was unified for the first time under a single governing and management authority. The governor appoints members of the Board to a seven year term and regents may be reappointed to subsequent terms by a sitting governor. Regents donate their time and expertise to serve the state through their governance of the University System of Georgia – the position is a voluntary one without financial remuneration.
