College of Coastal Georgia
As a state college of the University System of Georgia, the College of Coastal Georgia—a four-year institution—has as its mission to provide targeted baccalaureate programs of study, pre-baccalaureate programs of study for transfer, preparation for immediate employment in a variety of technical program areas, assistance to students who are academically under-prepared for college-level study, and lifelong learning opportunities for workforce development, career enhancement, and personal enrichment.
During the 2008-2009 academic year, the College of Coastal Georgia is transitioning to become a baccalaureate-degree-granting institution. The first steps toward this expanded mission will be taken by seeking a new level of accreditation to offer bachelor's degree programs in business administration, early childhood education, middle grades education, and nursing.

The College of Coastal Georgia continues to offer associate degree programs and transfer credit options. Over the course of the next year, the College is planning a wide range of campus improvements and mission enhancements.

These initiatives are designed to improve academic offerings and develop improved student life. The College will be exploring options for food service, residential facilities, health services, and expanded social offerings.

In addition to our diverse academic programs, there are a host of training courses, continuing education courses, adult literacy programs, high school partnerships and programs for children.

Currently the College enrolls approximately 3000 students, resulting in approximately a 1:30 faculty/student ratio.

Coastal Georgia had an economic impact of more than $69.7 million during FY 2010.
