Fall 2021 Campus Mindset Check In

Coming out of the Momentum Summit last winter, it was clear that there was a great deal of ongoing work around academic mindset on individual campuses that I would like to provide some visibility to across the System. To this end, the University System Office is hosting a brief Mindset Check in on Friday, August 27, from 1 to 3 pm.

The check in is open to anyone on campus engaged or interested in Mindset work, so please feel free to spread the word. Participation is limited to 200 (but really, on a Friday afternoon we should be fine), but the session will be recorded for later review.

2019 Mindset Summit

The 2019 Mindset Summit will be held on Friday, April 26, at the Jekyll Island Convention Center (map) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  The Summit will provide an opportunity to review what we have learned about students' in the USG and begin to investigate next steps in developing activities to support students productive academic mindsets.

Mindset Supportive Activties

We know you’re eager to implement mindset-supportive practices at your institution. To help you begin implementing mindset-supportive practices at your institution, we’ve put together several evidence-based, researcher-designed activities that can be adapted and customized for your campus.

As with any mindset-supportive practice, these activities are meant to serve as a starting point. We encourage you to think carefully about what will work in your context and what may need to be altered.

Try It Out

We know you’re eager to implement mindset-supportive practices at your institution. To help you get started, we’ve put together several evidence-based, researcher-designed activities that can be adapted and implemented on your campus. These activities were discussed during the Navigating Mindset GPS breakout sessions at the 2018 USG Mindset Summit.
