FULLER SCHEDULES AND PROMOTING ESSENTIAL SKILLS COMPLETION (MATHEMATICS AND WRITING), FACILITATED THROUGH MORE COURSE SCHEDULING CHOICES (South Georgia State College-2025)

This initiative centers on training advisors to help students create fuller schedules (15 or more hours) and complete essential skills mathematics and writing requirements within 30 hours, aided by the use of scheduling tools and success markers in Navigate.

BOOST MINDSET WORKSHOPS AND INTERVENTIONS ([node:field-inst]-2025)

The Mindset Student Workshops series, known internally as the “Boost” Mindset project, is entering its fourth year as an institution-wide initiative designed to enhance student motivation, metacognition, and academic self-efficacy. Originating from a Chancellor’s Learning Scholar Faculty Learning Community on Mindset in 2018 and supported by the USG STEM Grant Initiative, this work has evolved from a pilot project into a sustained element of SGSC’s student success strategy.

Academic Coaching (University of Georgia-2025)

UGA students are very well prepared. Ninety-one percent of the admitted Class of 2029 posted an average core high school GPA of 4.0 or higher, with 98% having completed at least one advanced course (such as AP, IB, or Dual Enrollment). Often such high-achieving students have never experienced any kind of failure. But the demanding pace of a research institution like UGA often poses significant and unexpected challenges for our students.

Expanding Nursing Program (University of North Georgia-2025)

UNG is actively monitoring enrollment trends in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, specifically tracking the number of students admitted and the number of graduates each term. In response to increasing demand and in support of student success and program growth, the Nursing Department has submitted internal proposals to revise its admissions process.

Pathway+ (University of North Georgia-2026)

Pathway+ focuses on Learning Support students instead of all Associate students, placing them in learning communities, a new required FYE course (UNG 1101), and revising pedagogy for LS courses. Modifications to this intervention are based on positive impact on LS students in the pilot, logistic challenges in taking it to scale for all Associate, the increased number of students required to take math LS, and NISS recommendations that we align support services to support students in high DWF courses

Learning Analytics (Kennesaw State University-2025)

KSU aims to take full advantage of data gathered through the LMS, D2L, for a faculty audience. Our online learning unit, Digital Learning Innovations, has revised their mission to support faculty in using the LMS to manage learning in all modalities and using the data to identify problems, diagnose root causes, and take targeted actions during the semester to impact student success within the semester. The learning analytics solution, uHoo Analytics, is available to all faculty. Additionally, faculty are provided professional development in tool use and data interpretation.
