North Regional USG Novice Nurse Workforce Transition Focus Group

Georgia is facing a critical nursing workforce shortage that threatens the quality and accessibility of healthcare across the state. The University System of Georgia is helping in the effort to develop a statewide Nursing Workforce Strategy by hosting two events that provide opportunities for novice nurses to share their educational journey and workforce experiences during the transition period from student to registered nurse. We need the voice of novice nurses since they are a vital component of this plan in addressing novice nurse professional competency and retention rates after graduation. This is an focus group for nurses 6 months - 3 years out of school and into their practice.
