2023 USG New Deans and Chairs Workshop

This workshop, specifically designed for new or relatively new deans and department chairs, will begin with breakfast at 9 AM on the July 17th, with the program starting at 10:00 AM. The workshop will conclude by 3:00 PM on the July 18th.

Topics include:

• how to create an academic vision for your college or department,
• career and life planning,
• legal considerations,
• budget planning,
• how to handle tough conversations, and
• panel discussions of those task and responsibilities that we might not anticipate.
